the idea was to hit record with no overdubs & no do-overs. with the exception of adding rainstick to "freestyle #3" I stuck with the original inspiration for 8 consecutive days. the results feel like sonic journal entries capturing moods and ideas with keyboard, synth & 2 drum machines. a couple weeks after recording these freestyles I was asked to play a show so I used them as backing tracks and played "solos" with alto clarinet, bansuri, bass recorder, percussions, cello & words.
